This page is going to be used for explaining some of the rules that come up during play that seem to be the most misunderstood and/or controversial.
The Overthrow Rule
Here’s a document that we came up with in an attempt to explain how the USSSA overthrow rule works. Too many times I’ve seen people get very upset with the umpire because they don’t understand how it’s really applied. This is our attempt to fix that.
The Overthrow Rule document is not currently available on this website. The full rules are in the USSSA Rulebook and the league by-laws.
If you would like a certain rule explained in detail, please send an email request to dan@wtgsl.org.
