Registration for the 2025 season is now closed. If you are interested in signing up, please contact organizer.wtgsl@gmail.com to be placed on the wait list. Once rosters are built, we will fill spots where needed from the wait list.
How Registration Works
Registration opens online each winter. The sign-up link is posted on this website and on the league’s Facebook page, @wtgslgirlssoftball. 2025 registration ran January 21 to February 28, 2025.
- Eligible grades: 2nd through 12th, regardless of school district and/or other schooling options. If needed, proof of grade level may be requested.
- League type: slow pitch, all talent levels welcome.
- League fee: $65.00 (2024 season).
- Team placement: teams are organized and filled based on sign-up order, starting with returning players. Sign-up order is determined by the date and time that the league fee is paid.
- Late sign-ups: anyone (including returning players) signing up and/or paying the league fee after the official registration period has concluded will be rostered based upon where players are needed.

The league schedules preseason practices for all teams. Practice days and times are traditionally the same as game days and times.

Background checks
Starting with the 2019 season, all coaches and individuals assisting with teams in the WTGSL must have an approved and active (non-expired) background check via Secure Volunteer. The cost of the background check is $14.45 and must be completed prior to participating in any team functions.
Starting with the 2024 season, WTGSL will accept background checks that are approved through Washington Local Schools (a valid card must be provided or emailed to wtgslcommissioner@gmail.com). All other background checks must be processed through the league service.
